at an average of 2.5kg per fish, theres some solid fillets on them and the kids are smashing the salmon fillets. just pan fried in coconut oil, coated with some lemon pepper and self raising flour
rather they eat that, then some crap that came out of a box from the supermarket..
they wont touch the squid yet though, not sure how to make them eat it hahaha

Lol it'll come with time. It took me about 25 years to develop the palate for seafood. My old man use to have to tell me flatty tails and squid rings were chicken. Looking back i was a dumb and naive kid hahaha.. now I eat literally everything.

I think walking through fish markets as a toddler turned me off it. Weird though since I've been fishing all my life too.

Yeah I'll give the square pieces a go hahaha.
I'll sneak some into their plates along with the fish and see if they notice.

Kimye - man you missed out on a lot of seafood opportunities, better make up for lost time now haha.
I lived on an island, seafood used to be a staple. I'm not much of a fish person these days though. But I cant pass up on oysters, prawns and squid...
hopefully the kids will come around in time, for now I'll take what I can get..

Great sessions there 5teve, those Squid are like "stealth monsters" and that them Sambos are like torpedos. Well done :tu:

On the getting the kids to eat squid. Something someone told me worked. Crumb Fish into just larger than Nugget size and crumb the squid too. You can do the Prawns with them too. Just a plate made up of "finger food". Over spice the crumb for the squid AND over cook it. My kids would eat the crumbs off and over a few meals, they would eventually nibble on the Squid. Then as time went, less spicy crumbs and properly cook the Squid. Worked a treat, also with Prawns too. They have them Crumbed, Salt & Peppered and grilled too now.

Cheers Bugs
