Need advice on good landbased spot and hook size.
Hi guys, i am planning a trip to Melbourne (from Singapore).
Can help recommend some landbased spot that is accessible by public transport/ walk?
Hook size and bait choice also. Thank you.

I recommend Docklands, size 8 hooks (or even smaller), and prawns for bait. You could use bigger hooks and fish with pilchards as well if you want to catch some bigger fish too.

Dockland is right between my brother and sister's place. Which is perfect.

But size 8 hook.....quite small for my eyes.
