Generally yes, But mix up the retrieve speed if you arent getting any.

You can troll metals around for them too, I believe at around 5 knots.

Also, each one my Dad an i Have caught lately has had 1 or 2 bigger and a few smaller ones follow the one we hooked up to the boat, so if you are fishing with 2 people it's a good idea to get the second person to cast behind you.

i hate trolling slugs in shallow water when fishing buy myself , i find when i hook up a salmon by time i reel it in the other rod metal slug has sunk to bottom and is snagged . :angry:
