The National Recreational Fishing Survey (NRFS) is identifying the range of economic and social values of fishing for fishers, businesses and communities across Australia.

The survey will measure the physical, mental and economic impact recreational fishing has on those who love to cast a line.

For recreational fishers, this study may seem to have an obvious outcome, as it is common for fishers to say that fishing makes them feel good and is vital to their survival!

There are 4m people who fish at least once a year spend 28m hrs which= 7 hrs/ person/ year .the economic return on golf is 125% greater than fishing and golfers don,t have Peta and AJP breathing down their necks. 20 yrs time Rec Fishing will be very different if not banned .When they get rid of the hunters the fishers are next
