Hey guys, what's the best method for cathing slimeys and yakkas? I've only ever caught one yakka by luck ( foul hooked one the other week with a long shank whiting hook through the tail). It would be good to stock up on some bait that i won't eat lol. Ive been trying to stock up on a bit of cala, but within a day or two of it being in the freezer its back out and in the frying pan lol.

I think I better chase bream and KGW around city piers. Need to get some yabbies.
Springvale Fish Market for you FC ... only a casting distance from where you are ... Plenty of Slimeys on display last time I was there :lolf:

Voodoo, Box Hill is closer. I can reach it using a spin rod instead of surf rod.:-))

At the end of the pier is a large tall upright white painted post (part of the pier), there is size markings and dates on this post of all the big gumys caught off the pier.
Cheers , Rick.
So I am just talking to John, the guy who caught the shark's marked on the post and they were a mixture of Mako, 7 gillers and bronzies, no gummies, cheers davo
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them
