Rhyll 11/11/12

Launched at Rhyll for the first time yesterday at about 7 am only to find many boats already finishing up for the day, most with eskies full of nice snapper.

Headed out to the Corals which was very easy to find by the mass of boats – hardly even needed to look at the GPS!

Anchored up and straight away got onto the salmon, nothing huge but majority between 30-35cm, good fun on light gear while waiting for snapper to buckle over the heavy rods.

Landed 2 kingies that were around the 40cm mark, very painful to throw back knowing how tasty the sashimi would have been – but back they went to grow up for next time.

Did not catch even a pinkie nor did we see anyone land one in the area while we were there, but still brought home a good feed of salmon and had a good day on the water.
