Rock Fishing Safety

Post by fishingvic » Mon Apr 11, 2022 11:20 am

Victorian Fisheries Authority

Rock fishing is better with a friend and much safer. If you get into trouble, there’ll be someone there to call 000 or get help. Never rock fish alone.

1. Prepare
2. Observe
3. Stay Alert
4. Always wear a lifejacket

To find out more, including the 10 high-risk locations where you must wear a lifejacket when rock fishing, visit www.vfa.vic.gov.au/rockfishing

Wouldn't hurt to wear a Life Jacket when surf fishing either.
