"Re-purposing" trees? Why not simply say "using" trees, or doesn't that sound important enough?

It seems “re-purposing” sounds more trendy than recycling or re-using. I wonder what the cost involved is and exactly how this is done? Trees kept whole on a big truck? Skip full of cut up tree limbs? And how they get them in the water also?

As a Nong local, this could be a good thing. Looking forward to see where they go.

it is a good idea.

Like the Floods in Tassie in 2016 , , , , although the trout stock got a pummelling , , , , and the devastation of the rivers , , , , the accumulation of debris (although some should be cleared) the debris has, I gathered had a positive effect with structure, home for bug life (trout food) I mean which trout can't resist a Caddis Moth.

Regardless of the presentation, this is an absolutely brilliant idea. It should be policy along the Yarra, too - no trees, no cod (and down lower, no snags, no estuary perch either). This will benefit many species both in the fresh and saltwater sections of the river.

I vaguely sitting in on a presentation at an NFA event, I think the trees are from road expansion/ highway works and they are getting the timber for essentially free.
