Two Rainbow trout in edwards lake.

Post by zaclen » Sun Oct 04, 2020 1:29 pm

Went down at about 3:30PM and was just using some canned corn. 15min later got a bite on two out of the three rods. First one was a carp and just as I was gonna catch it it got off, second one was this monster trout about 70cm. Surprised it was even there and that it bit on corn. 10 min later caught another one 30cm in length, didn't have any bites after that and left at 7.
EDIT : FOR A MINUTE GOT MIXED UP WITH COBURG LAKE, ALSO NORMALLY FISHING IS BANNED BUT THE COUNCIL DIDN'T CARE (I CALLED THEM)

Well done; didn't think there'd be trout in there.

Ive been thinking of heading down there myself, round the corner from me.
There is always more to learn , fish to catch , places to see and friends to make.

Dang; I'm a 2 minute walk away from Edwardes Lake, but never ever fished it. Have seen people pull out monster carp evert now and then. When they drained the lake about a decade ago, they removed tonnes of fish from there; remember mentions of catfish, trout and even Murray cod among the lot.
