Woori Yallock - 8th Dec

Post by ChrisD » Mon Dec 09, 2019 8:24 am

Finally got out and lines in the water.
Went to Woori Yallock for a few hours yesterday evening.
Weather and barometer were prefect ......the river flow however was less than prefect.
There is still some serious water coming down the river and the flow is fast. That said it as surprisingly clear for some much water movement.
I tried three spots - all up river of the bridge. Quite a few bites but no hooks up unfortunately.
Even though it was a donuts trip - it was nice to finally be back beside the river and enjoying some peace and quite.

I think that when this years flow does slow down the river will have had a good flush through - the fishing should be really good at that time.

Haven't fished woori yallock for a while.
What were you chasing? Trout?
I was up in Warburton 2-3 weeks ago. Water was clear but still a bit fast and high.
Agree, after s good flush, usually the fishing is good.

There is some great water above Warrandyte especially when it's low and you can wade. I'm sure you will find the fish soon Chris :tu:
