Re: Fishing healesville area
Well it was a nice day, and unfortunately i didn't catch any fish. I tried fishing every creek around there and don lake and managed nothing at all, the lake was so dirty i couldn't see my lure a couple centre meters under the water, and the rivers were just as bad. Look like some great rivers and wouldn't mind giving it a go when the water clears up and its trout season is open. The highlight of the day were two crays i caught, one was a small murray cray and the other a big gippsland cray. Unfortunately protected so it was released.

The rivers can be fished as long as there no trout taken or possessed.

Aussie_fisho could have been more specific. I think he meant that the river in question can be fished for other species as long as trout are not taken and I'm hoping he is aware that some rivers are totally closed.
