I've had success with sand worms before, but they were pretty pricey as I recall and we ran out quickly.

Anyone know any cheapish places I can purchase worms near Stony Point, or a good alternative bait?

Let me see, Bass Yabbies, Squid, Philchards, Pippies, Mussels, are all baits that I have caught whiting on.

Best of luck finding someone who sells sandworms, there is a freeze dried version, that a number of TV celebs swear bye,and promote. but I find are too fragile and dont last very long.

If you have a bait pump then pump bass yabbies! if not then i would use squid, mussels or pippies, don't bother buying live bass yabbies as they are a rip off!

it's always worth grabing some food grade banana prawn from coles or safeway these cutup into 8-10 baits per prawn for whiting
