Barra Trip

Post by mazman » Tue Jul 12, 2022 6:34 pm

Hey guys,

Earlier this year I made the trip up to QLD to try and catch my first barra*. Took a while to get a video together for this trip with so much footage to go through from it but finished it off earlier today. Ended up being a great trip with some really cool moment and a lot of time on the water. I hope you enjoy the vid.

Cheers Alex

*I've caught one from hazelwood back in the day but don't count that

Best video yet. The second fish looked like it had some battle scars.

Thanks guys, with a few more under the belt I probably wouldn't have spent so long getting it out but I was determined to land it with the effort I had put in already. Ending up spending over half an hour in the water diving down and clearing my line from various snags and breaking of bits. Lucky it decided to head back up to the bank and not out deeper at the end cause I wasn't keen to go much deeper than I was

No concerns about bull sharks etc? Apparently they push into the fresh
