Fishing Adelaide ??

Hi I am wondering how to fish Adelaide, ideally for snapper, i know they are monsters over there.. I am going to try Glenelg Pier but if you hook a big one there how the hell do you land it?? I want to try soft plastics but that means light gear... any general Radelaide fishing advice welcomed

Outer harbour has a lovely long breakwall and you can usually sort something out off that. Mixed array of species.
