Nice work Adrian. I love trout fishing on an overcast day.

Regarding the wading stick.. It makes wading through faster water so much safer. I use one when i know im doing deeper water crossings.

Get yourself a good quality really light weight stick and you wont even notice it hanging off your backpack

I've seen a telescopic stick and a folding stick for wading. Maybe not as strong but a good option.
As long as you're safe Adrian, you're still young and still got a lot of time and a lot of trout ahead of you
