Spent a few hours fishing around the Botanical Gardens in Sydney today. The fishing was great. Caught two different types of wrasses, two species of bream and a leather jacket. Probably caught over 25 fish in three hours. many were of legal size. Kept a few for tea as you guys say.

Will be in Hobart tomorrow then the rest of Feb in Tassie.

While in Hobart you had better go to the biggest wooden boat show in the Southern Hemisphere that starts Saturday (7th Feb.) through to Monday. There's over 600 wooden boats on show from all
parts of Australia & around the world.
I'm sure you'll enjoy your time in Australia & better still, down here in Tassie..

cheers
Adrian

Hey guys, any help identifying these fish would be appreciated. Especially the wrasses.

Not sure what the second wrasse is, but the one in the first pic is a juvenile eastern blue groper (females are brown). The bream in the pic is a yellowfin bream. Hope this helps.

I think the second wrasse is called a Gunthers Wrasse.
