Often when sharing content I get 'why don't you....' or 'why didn't you have a .....'
This might give some context as to why I didn't have that thing with me at any given moment. This is after the hike in to even get out there.

Most of the pack is full of berley / water/ food and other consumables. I would guess 2/3rds of the weight i'm carrying in is in this form. Otherwise it's ropes. You can gill rope a big fish, climb up the climby bits with the rope tied to your waist, then pull the fish up behind you.
I'm strongly considering investing in an external frame pack to make it easier to strap fish too if we need a carry out but a quality one seems to be pushing $1000 and it's just stupid money for bag. Would save a heap of cleaning time though.
