Just curious, does anyone have any winter escapes planned this year?
If so, where do you plan on going and what's your target?
For myself, I've got a trip planned with three best mates for mid July, heading way north to Lakefield national park near cooktown for a barra mission. Can't wait.

Not really a winter escape, but every year on the weekend after Queens B'day me and the missus always head away for 3 days. Last year we went to Phillip Island which was cold and raining all weekend so i didnt do any fishing. This year we are heading to Apollo Bay and its looking like pretty much the same conditions as this time last year. :WinterIce:

Steveo, the girl and me just got back from 4 days in Apollo the weekend before last. Watch out for the seals around the harbour boatramp and pier spooking everything!

Back on topic - Hoping for a couple of weeks in Bali September or October and packing the rod. No idea what species to target, will have to do some research.
