nothing from Rowville again

Post by ChrisD » Sun Jul 28, 2013 6:40 pm

My back finally came good so I decided to give Rowville a bit of a crack this afternoon.
Saw plenty of guys trying to give it a go, but like me we all seemed to be drawing blanks. Just seems that Rowville is determine to hold on to it's stocked fish. Sounds simliar for all the stocked lakes, even this long after school holidays none seem to be producing.
At this rate I might trade my freshwater gear in and change to salt......... Bangg
But first I will give the Yarra a crack, think I will just give up on the stocked lakes for now.

Yeah all the stocked lakes I have tryed have sucked!
Not a nibble or nothing.
U would think trout being a cold water fish and us being in winter would help.

I wouldn't give up hope just yet as most freshwater lakes and rivers have been very slow over the past few months.
Give it a month or two for the weather to warm up a little and it should start up again.

i was there too on Sunday around 2pm. Saw 2 guys fishing there. they told me they were generally yakkers but with the wind, decided to try Rowville for the first time (they are not on this forum). They caught a small trout which they released. So I got out my gear (probably didn't have anything for trout) but fished with them till just before 3pm. nada.
