Fishing Guides

Post by Mattblack » Wed Jan 20, 2021 10:49 am

Has anyone here used a fishing guide where they teach you everything on your own boat with your own equipment?
If you have, did your fishing improve and was it worth the money?
I'm looking at either Matt Cini or Gawaine Blake for a few hours on WPB....any reviews on these guys or anyone else would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve never heard of anything like that maybe go out on a charter and bring your own gear and learn how they catch fish or something I don’t know if their is anyone that does a thing where they go on your boat

There are quite a few...I think even Phil from TB2F tried doing it (viewtopic.php?t=22909).

I did a kingfish charter with Matt Cini, it was pretty useful although I don't think any of us have caught a kingy since...

There might be stuff available on the Salt Guide thing too, I was wondering about signing up for a month just to pinch all the GPS marks

Can't go wrong with Phil from TB2F. :gj: If you guys haven't heard Phil's evens starting a members section on his website with paid tricks, tips and video clips! :oo:

If I was going on a guide it would be with Chris Cassar. He seems to be killing it lately and fresh off starting a new charter business this season will be keen and mustard on the guide.

Thanks Gents...
3 hours with Gawaine $400
5 hours with Matt C $500

Will have to call the other guys & see if they do private guides as well as charters.
