I guess the gummies come in fairly close but I reckon you're better off with a surf rod for distance. There's a spot that can be fished at low tide where you walk out and cast 20m or so into the channel, but most people fish the high tide from the beach.jasew3 wrote:Gday

Get yourself a pair of waders for the mud & as 4litres said you can walk out. The current isn't too strong there if you do wade a little. Anyway as the old saying goes,"The more you practice, the luckier you will get."
