nah, simple triangle and a calculator. :crazy: It took me 50 times longer to type the info than to calculate the numbers. :lol:

fc im pretty sure that point 4 is incorect the angle becomes greater the deeper the water is. meaning the bait is further from the bottom or atleast there is less slack line in the dropper.

:doh1: :doh1: draw a triangle and find out for yourself. Remember, you are not casting from a pier! Let me know if you want me to draw it. The farther you are from the base, the smaller the angle will be. Simple trigonometry.

Fc is right, the further the sinker goes out
then the smaller the angle becomes.

im not meaning casting further i mean the difference between say a sand bank and a gutter/hole. you cast the same distance for both but the depper hole will have agreater angle btwe the bottom and your line.

draw it. I am done with maths. Use your imagination and visualize what is going on in the surf EXCEPT from crabs munching on the baits. :lol:
