Gunners 23/12/2012

Post by Fish-cador » Sun Dec 23, 2012 11:12 am

the 3 survivors of the Mayan apocalypse converged in Gunners. The quantity was not there but quality surely was. The fish was probably scared by the multitude of surfers.

FC was on the bottom of the score board with Brett on top. I will redeem myself next time. :bat:

Carl found NEW LOVE. He hooked a nice one but it kept swimming back to him so he hugged it like a baby. :roflmao: :roflmao:

I hate you all :( I didn't arrive till 7am...... my other mate already setup bait fishing since 5am ! and he told me he had two hot bites. One when sunrise, he managed to get thumpers @ 1.5kg mark each. And 2nd run around change of tide just before 7. And that's about it. I had another mate came with me as well. He's a amature bait fisho, who can't cast a surf rod at all, he stayed with other baito while I stroll up the coast casting my 10foot elcheapo ebay rod with metals lures into the surf. No one bite, instead sacrificed a 30g lure to the fish god, just because I stopped the line midway when I realise a surfer is right direct line of my casting... so *Twing*, there goes the metal lure .......

I'm gonna find the time to hitch up with you guys next time !!!!! Else I'm going back to baito !

I dare say the one I dropped, would have pushed past his 2.126kg, so don't worry to much, we'll beat it :p

I reckon they were between the steps and the walkway to the SLSC.

I think his mate is telling porkies though, cause I can't remember seeing any bait fishos on the beach when we got there at 5:30 :dontknow
