Hi guys. Thinking of hitting gunnas this arvo but not sure if very strong northerly will be suitable. What does anyone think? Don't want to drive all way and not be able to get a good cast out
On one hand, I'd say the northerly will do you well , you should be able to cast halfway to Tassie, but I reckon you'll have a pretty big swell to get past making it difficult. If you're throwing slugs, its probably ok, but a baito would have some trouble in my opinion.

I went a couple of weeks ago and a NNW turned into a WNW which was pretty much unfishable (45km +). That said it looks like you will have mostly a N this afternoon, very strong. So you'll be able to cast lures a fair way.

My first time there and I was surprised how wild it is, really churny, high waves, and a big drop off right by the shore. Wasn't comfortable getting too close to the water in my waders. Good luck!
