Current conditions Hopkins River

Heading out this week to Warnambool and want to dip the rods from the banks of Hopkins River?
Can someone please share their knowledge of the river and status? What gear to use etc.
Prefer to use artificial bait if possible.

Don't know what the current situation. I went there months ago, saw a lot of EPs and bream. Fished at the jetty next to Proudfoot. Caught an EP. 1/16 or 1/8 jig head with zman grub motor oil.
Also saw kids fishing warnambool pier, fished inward and caught a big trevally on bait.
