There's something very special about fishing the simple way.

Pedalling down to the local fishing hole and using public transport when possible, cheap rod + reel combo, bike frame as a rod holder, chasing nothing but the old humble carp with a bit of bread or corn as bait... It really does give off vibes from back in the olden days (not that i existed then) when kids would go down to the river on their bikes fishing.

I don't know if it's your thing or not, but it would be interesting to see some gopro footage of one of your average fishing days, with edited snippets of the things u go through to get your carp... from cycling out your gate, getting on the tram out to some creek in the middle of outter suburbia, to pedalling through parklands of knee high grass, to baiting up ur corn, to landing the fish etc. It would definitely be some unique viewing that no one has really done before... Kind of inspired by what Chris Bamman does with his videos, if anyone has seen his channel.

I love Chris Bamman, watched everyone of his videos. No talking, just the sound of nature. Simple guy with the average gear just enjoying the good life. That's how I'm going to retire, except I won't have gopros planted everywhere lol

That's a great idea Kimtown, but unfortunately I don't have a GoPro, nor the knowledge of how to edit videos (in keeping with my simple ways), but I must admit, it would be an interesting project and has been suggested to me before ;-)

I do, however, have some rare footage of me disposing of some carp, taken on a mate's mobile phone. I there a way for me to upload it here?

I'm with you on that. I havent watched his videos in a while, probably 6 months. But prior to that I went back and watched a good 2-3 years worth of his videos. His film style is really unique and intriguing. I reckon if Corna did something similar with his Carp videos, they would be really entertaining and popular

Grab a youtube account and upload it to there mate, that's the first way to start. :tu: Then it's just a matter of sharing/embeding the link here. Fairly basic to do.

Good onya. That's a far better way for disposal instead of stinking out the bins, or throwing it into the scrub.

Or burying it in 10cms of dirt so one animal comes by and unearths it like I’ve seen some schmucks do
