Hi,
I'm just getting into trout fishing and would like to find some spots around melbourne, maybe 1 hour away max.

River season is about to close. Being cold, lake be good.
There's family lakes around and stocked by the fisheries. Check their website.
Then there's bigger lakes such as Devilbend Reservoir and all those lakes near Ballarat.
