First fish of 2023, Alvey getting it done

Post by fisho999 » Fri Jan 27, 2023 9:48 am

Hey all,
went down to the channel today for an hour, didn’t expect much but it beats sitting at home. Decided to bring 2 rods, the Alvey orbiter spin rod and the Alvey orbiter bait cast rod.

I put the bait rod in( bait was corn kernels ) and started casting diving lures from the bank. A while passes and I look over to see my bait rod bent double and line screaming of my reel!

I run over to it and manage to land a nice sized carp. It was 60 cm and 3 kilo. I dispatched it and threw it back into the water.

great first fish for 2023, and first fish on an Alvey.

I often use my phone and all I do is go to 'attachment' and 'add files', then choose the image file (usually JPG or JPEG) under 750kb size.

And that's it.
