Any tips for cherry lake?

Was going to go out on the kayak at cherry lake tommorow to target some carp (just for the fun of catching), i went once a few weeks back land based but didnt catch anything. I was thinking of using corn for bait and bring some soft plastics if i can sight cast a few. Any tips? Thanks

No fish, no bites but in winter I can’t complain but annoying haha

A while back on Talking Fishing it was said you can't put any sort of craft on the lake, you can't fish there either.

I live in Altona and literally drive past Cherry lake 10 times a day. I have never seen any sort of yak in the lake, you may be right that no craft can be used..

I've seen kayaks in there but I wouldn't do it in case I touched the water
