would you do this to eat a Carp

From the Herald Sun .People who leave carp to rot on the river bank don't know what they're missing. a professional fisherman reports that he catch's carp quiet often for my European friends. "What they do is put the carp in a 50 gallon tank of water in their backyard, then pour some vinegar into the water. They leave them in the tank for no less than a week and the vinegar flushes all the mud and dirt out of the carp. Then they clean and gut the fish. cut slits into the flesh, push kiwi fruit into the slits. cover them in plastic wrap and leave them in the fridge over night. The next day, they bake them and, fair dinkum, you wouldn't believe how good they taste".he said. :snorting: :snorting: :cook2: :cook2:
If you are looking for the person to change your life.look in the mirror .Cheers gus

We used to do the same thing with cat-fish in Africa. Works a treat, although the vinegar is overkill. The fresh water does enough on it's own. I also wouldn't use kiwi fruit as that will make the taste quite complex and probably would over-power the fish itself. I would cut fillets and soak the flesh in milk (to soften it), cut it into cubes and then fry them up with breadcrumbs... Yum!

(Having said all that, I am definitely going to give the kiwi fruit a go :))

I’m not sure how it will taste malleestump? but it doesn't sound attracting to me ... I know some family friend who's mother used to cook the carp in curry, it was actually good taste, I also know that Carp is well known in Europe and it is actually in the main menus of most the European countries and they cook it in different ways too.

Don't forget, transporting live carp is against the law ;)

I know this but why do you reckon? is this because of the huge number of Carp in our fresh waterways? or because of something else?

It was originally to limit the spread, but now they are practically everywhere, however it is still illegal
