Clifton Springs

Post by Tim399 » Sat Nov 18, 2023 5:14 pm

Headed out off Clifton Springs in the yak this morning, launching at around 5:20am. Glassed overcast conditions while targeting squid, closed the bag then picked up a few whiting and a flathead before heading home around lunchtime. Helped push a boat off the shallow bank (0.5m) to the west of the boat ramp, they pulled up to the beach for a stop during the falling tide.. whoops.
Most boats heading home from the ramps were targeting snapper, and reported quiet mornings.
After my recent struggles on the search for snapper this season, it was nice to bring home a good amount of fish to feed the family (and tastes better too!) :ch:

Well done. I'm jealous.
I had to accompany my wife in the carboot sale. Would be out there on kayak otherwise.

We should do Clifton Springs kayak session there.
Pick low south wind and incoming tide early morning, and that's it.
