St Leonards Pier - Calamari 20/01/2023

Hey everyone,
Just a quick flick on a day off for some calamari for a weekend BBQ.
Fished:
9:30 - 10.30am
Light winds, SE turning SSE.
Clear water, clear skies.
Slack tide to a light run out.
Quick flick with the purpose of being in and out within the hour.
Started with my go-to silver mullet jig with the silver tape, and five casts later we've hooked a small calamari.
Few cast later over the same spot and we've got his mate.
Didn't see anything caught for the next 45 mins, so dipped and cleaned them up on the beach.
I swear the birds recognise my face these days knowing they're getting an easy feed of squid off cuts.
Cheers,
