Clifton Springs 4th
Went out today off Clifton Springs been a while due the weather and 2 boat ramps on the bellarine closed we don't fish weekends very busy.
We launched around 930 am with about 2.5 hours of the outgoing tide remaining. We drifted from about 2.5mt depth to around 5mt we picked up most in the shallower water we caught 8 fairly quickly all bites were a bit tentative only connecting with the 2 long tentacles non in the crown beak area . The last 2 took about an hour we only managed 10 all up before the completely stopped biting as the tide turned.
The wind was about 17klm which wasn't much of an issue but it was very cold se we gave it away around 1pm.
Of the 10 squid 3 were really good 6 were ok and 1 has a date with a pair of 7 0 circles.
