Portarlington 11th

Post by Nude up » Mon Apr 11, 2022 8:51 pm

Went out this morning with my neighbour a bit late around 10 am we hit the weed beds close to Port for squid 8 5 good size and 3 bait size. It was a run out tide but the wind had our drift way to quick and my neighbour had cleaned his boat out he is getting it ready for sale thats when we discovered we had left the burley at home as well.
We used some squid legs for bait and caught 9 whiting we only keep ones over 30cm so we through a few back.
I used my spare whiting rods I had just replaced the drag washers from felt to carbontext and I was happy with them.

Nice catch. Replacing the old felt drags with Carbon is the way to go. Is there anything being caught off the breakwalls that you know about?
