Looking for flatheads

Post by Nude up » Mon Mar 28, 2022 5:17 pm

I went out this morning looking for flathead I have plenty of whiting and squid. I headed over to Arthur the great and fished the edge of the spit there for a small ray and heaps of banjo's till we finally hooked up to some flathead 3 on soft plastics it was very quite no wind and no run in the tide.
We moved closer to the shore and picked up another 5. Yet again it went quite so we headed up towards Werribee out in 6.5 mt and started drifting then the wind suddenly picked up to 18 knots the chop hitting us side on not dangerous just uncomfortable so we gave it away. We ended up with 10 enough for a feed.

Nice sized frogs. Beautiful Autumn day. Wouldn’t be dead for quids.
