A bit slow for us

Post by Nude up » Fri Mar 25, 2022 3:19 pm

Launched around 9 am portarlington fished close to Port hoping for whiting but only managed 6 banjo's. We upped anchor and moved closer to Clifton Springs a few rain showers kept coming through but not enough to worry about.
With an outgoing tide the wind had us side on so we anchored the boat stern over sand bow over weed we managed 8 whiting with many under 30cm thrown back best went 38cm. My neighbour wayne had given me a new harimitsu size 3 in gold to replace the one I lost on monday I couldn't resist to give it a quick flick bang squid on first cast.
I must have missed a dozen takes on my whiting rod so we upped anchor and drifted we ended up with 14 squid of which 13 were caught on the harimitsu in gold 1 on a yamashita. We were back at the ramp by 1pm. Another great day on the water
