30th nov portarlington

Post by Nude up » Mon Nov 29, 2021 10:21 pm

I had a mate come from Melbourne for a fish today he got stuck in traffic so we didn't launch till about 0945.
At the ramp 2 mates were retrieving there boats they had been to Point Wilson 1 good fish 3 pinkies between them but they caught loads at 25 cm
We headed up to indented Head were we caught 4 squid then nothing so we headed to governor reef were we picked 3 more 1 really good.

The water at indented head was quite murky but at governor reef very clear.
We headed back to Port to drift for some fatties where we picked up 4 it was hard work.
Drifting past the caravan park a pod of dolphins were working some bait just off the beach then the gannets turned up diving a great display.

I think we need to work on our netting skills my mate copped a shirt full of ink.

They're some nice calamari and frogs!
I reckon they were a bit off the bite yesterday, super quiet yesterday at St Leonards land-based.
