Queenscliff 8th

Post by Nude up » Fri Oct 08, 2021 7:19 pm

Went to queenscliff today with the NW wind was a good choice plenty of boats out but I didn't see much being caught.
I started at cottage by the sea drifting between 9 and 2.5 mt picked up 4 really good size squid between 10 am to 12 am then it went quite so I headed to swan bay drifted around flicking plastics and a trailing squid jig. Very quite I got 1 flathead about 27cm but I through it back but the trailing squid jig silver and blue picked up 6 more squid no where near as big as the other squid.
Wanting some flathead I moved to a spot I had done well in the past but it didn't happen today just 2 banjos and a big port Jackson. Feeling let down I headed to popes eye to see the Gannetts with their chicks and some seals with their pups sunning themselves on the rocks back to the ramp around 3pm weather was awesome
