Squid aplenty

Took my son out for a fish Friday perfect conditions. Squid being the target we love salt and pepper squid. We headed up to grassy point last of the run in tide. The water was a bit cloudy and only the tide to drift I didn't expect much.
How wrong was I we had our bag in under 2 hours at one point I had caught one threw my jig back in probably about half a mt down, as I put the squid I had caught in the bucket turned round 2 more squid were on my jig easy pickings.
We let quite a few small ones go. We nipped back to portarlington harbour picked up a coffee and chips then headed back out. Only small flathead out near the channel markers so headed in to 7 Mt and picked up a few nice flathead looking forward to the feed.
