Launched at Clifton springs with half of the Bellarine. Motored out off indented head in prime conditions fishing a range of baits..., for just flatties... Back to portarlington, same flatties, handful of undersized pinkies, and three nice looking silver whiting sent back as livies, but no interest. Absolute prime conditions on the bay. Luckily, flatties are a great eating fish..

Can't go wrong with flatty on the plate to eat.
Did you try for squid? Heard the squid fishing been going well around there.

Saw a few economy size models at the cleaning table, but not large numbers.

Where did you catch the silver whiting off portarlington. I was getting a lot of bites at the drop off just off portarlington but never hooked up I was going to drop hook size but ran out of time

Around the old shipping channel, which is just outside the current one, lots of boats fishing this area too. Underside pinkies competed hard for those pippy baits though...

You can't beat some fresh flathead tails!

Definitely plenty of nice squid around this way right now, fortnight ago you'd just get bigger 30CM+ models but within the last week the smaller 20CM+ hoods are starting to move around. Healthy mix of both sizes! Mornings seem to be working well too.

Stuck in metro area, I'd be there otherwise.
