Queenscliff

Post by Nude up » Mon Oct 12, 2020 6:40 pm

Having spent the last few days putting up a new shed I needed some r and r , I had a big day planned but my previous night big effort got in the way. I eventually got to queenscliff around 1030 and I couldn't believe how many trailers were in the overflow Carpark.
I headed round to the Lonsdale bight and found the boats probably around 40 boats amazing sight. I started my drift near the marine park heading parrallel with the markers. I had two rods 1 in hand and a sleeper, on the sleeper I use yamashita fast drop 3.5 size but with a heavier head good at queenscliff with fast current or deep water.

My sleeper went off first a cracker in my enthusiasm I nudged the butt of my other rod plop in it goes I am nearly in tears its a t curve with a 2500 sustain on it, I quickly netted my squid and cast the deep drop jig Neptune was smiling on me and I pulled it up all smiles now.
I persisted till around 2 then pulled the pin for a total of 6 2 being pretty good.

Awesome sized Squid, I heard there were some monsters around!
I spoke to the parks guy yesterday and then we saying how packed the place is, let alone how many boats there are haha!

Very glad you were able to fish up the rod!

When I moved I have a much smaller block and it drops at the back I had a retaining wall put in so I don't have a lot of room to put a bigger shed on. It was more important to put a second drive way in for the boat. I have another smaller shed for the garden stuff.

I'll bring my own bed, but, a toilet and shower would be nice
