I know what you mean Ark, Geelong used to produce really good fish untill the nettes moved in absoutely raped the area. I still go .. and catch dribs and drabs.

I need to stop going but for some reason, i still end up atleast twise a month; the place has a curse on and i cant shake it off. Maybe becuase iv had some of my best days there. :fish5:

I wish it was the type your thinking off ..

Its the large licensed commercial boats that have been sent over to areas like Geelong to catch fish using large industrial nets. They all have been relocated to this side of the bay.

NOT GOOD DOES THAT MEAN THAT THE FISH IN THE GEELONG AREA ARE GOING TO BE SCARCE NOW,AND HARDER TO CATCH.

The commercial netters have been working the Pt Wilson , outer & inner Cario bay for years . Now am not defending them , but honestly they are legally doing so & use nets & methods that aint that bad to our fish stocks . That said am all for a total ban on netting in our bay & only long lining or hookers allowed .
