Point Henry

Post by 4liters » Sun Oct 10, 2021 7:48 pm

I had a quiet-ish session around Point Henry, got a few pinkies on plastics in the shipping channel near the point but nothing much else. I checked out the moored ship at the Alcoa pier and found a school of salmon hanging around it. Finally I headed down to the Curlewis spoilgrounds to look for snapper. Didn't see anything so I went for a drift with a salmon chunk out on a strayline and picked up a couple of flatties on some smaller baits. I tried for some squid on the way back but had no luck, and it turned into a bit of a slog when the NWer blew up in the afternoon. The flatties got the fish taco treatment tonight.

Nah, no arches or I’d have stopped and dropped some baits down. It’s going to be blowing it’s arse out next weekend and I’m tempted to give the inner harbour and marina a crack when it’s all chopped up.

I know Wangim walk has been a little quiet this week, but there has been a few good pinkies holding up around the moorings. Always got the snotty's down that way too.

Might do, that bit of coast should be sheltered enough.
