Clifton Springs' squid, kgw and two boats

Checked the wind (low WSW) and a mate who just bought a Slayer10 kayak asked me to go to Clifton Springs on kayak. He told me he needed to be back home by 9:30am for the Mrs so we left home early and got on the water about 4:30am.
Time fished : 4:30am-7:30am
Moon : 99% leading to full moon, set 4:55am
Tide : 4am peak high
Wind : WSW 10-15kmh
Air temperature : 10°C
Plan was to bag out squid while still dark (lol) then look for whiting after sunrise. It's the second time my mate on his new kayak.
Just before day break, I landed two, dropped one and he missed one. Then a boat saw us and anchored 50m in front of us. Being only 150m from the shore and 2m water (and to the side of the boat ramp), that kinda annoyed us a little.
We moved a bit, then around 6:30am a boat was going fast from the boat ramp towards us and off by 30m or so from us, was yelling something that sounded like profanities. Again, we weren't right in front of the boat ramp. We were to the side of the ramp. Some people are just born as unhappy people, even on such a nice weather and holiday season.
My mate didn't get traumatic that much but it got into his head a bit about safety etc. Practiced re-entry and we packed.
Two squid, one 39cm kgw, a pinkie, lost a few small kgw.
Caught the squid on black/orange and white 2.5 jig and the whiting is on single paternoster #6 baitholder hook with the freshly caught squid tentacles as bait cast to a sand hole.
