PB* squid from Wangim Walk!

Post by Sebb » Sat Jul 03, 2021 11:09 pm

PB smallest that is, haha.

Went to Wangim Walk for the first time with couple mates, I heard so many people catching fish there from salmon to bagging out pinkies.

6:45am - 9am at the end of the walk.
Pilchard and various plastics with 1/8 #1/0 jig head.
2-4 kg rod, 2500 reel, 10lb line.

We caught few flatties ranging 25-30cm. Then a mate caught a butterfly gurnard.

Dolphins came, and they stopped biting. Stopped by coffee shop and home.

Last cast got me my smallest PB squid!

They do say the catch of a lifetime is more about the experience than the catch itself haha!
Those little ones are so aggressive!

Good seeing the flathead and it's a shame the salmon we'ren't on the bite! Those dolphins have been hanging around gorging themselves haha.
