Lake Eildon Murray Cod

Post by mazman » Tue Jul 26, 2022 7:02 pm

Hey guys,

A couple of weeks ago I took my boat down to Lake Eildon for my first proper trip fishing off it, up until now I had just taken it out for a couple of quick runs more so to get the hang of launching, retrieving and general boat use. We had 3 days camped down at the lake and were treated to some awesome but freezing conditions.

Nice mate, the challenger is a great boat for the sort of stuff your doing.
The fishing trips are going to be a bit more $$$$ now, but lot more opportunities to take advantage of too.

What motor has it got. A 4 stroke will make things a bit easier on the wallet obviously.
But the fuel.prices haven't held me back yet from doing long trips. Dunno how long that situation will exist for me though hahah..

I've put the boat away for a bit. Did Nelson for donuts a couple weeks ago. Price of fuels a killer so have made the call to only fish great conditions rather than blowing a couple hunj to grind a sesh.

Great stuff too alex. Good to see the channel starting to see some real success too. Getting some decent views and subscribers

Thanks Ducky,

Certainly have to be a bit more picky than usual going on trips atm with how expensive just getting to a lot of places is. Nelson is high on the list for places to take the boat, been there on the yak a couple times but would love to be able to cover a bit more water there
