Try the shrimp loaded small baitkeepper or circle hook, just fill it with shrimp, light flex rod or whitting rod loaded with 8 - 15 lb mono line, light running ball sinker to small swivel same mono leader of 2-4 foot and just lift every mouth full of beer, 2 beers no touch move to another snag. i find a new green leaved branch or tree fallen in the river helps.
