Echuca tips needed

Post by Joker91 » Sat Apr 02, 2022 8:44 am

Hello all :ch:

I’m heading off to Echuca this afternoon and setting up camp around Betts beach.

Looking for some tips on any spots I should visit for a fish. I am not fussed what I catch, even a carp would be fine but as long as a I reel something in hahaha.

I am planning on buying a yabby net on the way and just throw it in and try my luck. Never used one so I will just hope for the best.

Eildon..... was a great trip... but not for fishing.

Unfortunately I didn’t try too many different fishing spots, and I was driving around look for this one place which I couldn’t find. I ended up setting up shop at the lower pondage while we at lunch and got nothing at all.

Here is a few photos of what we caught.

Nothing to brag about, but a catch is still a catch!

Caught about a dozen shrimp. This was probably the highlight. I checked the net in with ZERO expectation of catching anything.

Left it in there for about forty minutes and I went to pull it out and pack it up because I thought I was wasting my time and found a whole bunch of shrimps :bn:
