Mytrelford tips

Post by simon2g » Fri Jan 10, 2025 5:46 pm

So probs just focus on trout with lures upstream of mytrelford in the ovens/buffalo. Everything I've read says fish upstream of town for trout.

Lake Buffalo I may sink a worm to enjoy the nice view of the mountain.

But where am I most likely guaranteed to catch a carp? Cause I wouldn't mind getting the kids onto a mud marlin to have some fun too

lake buffalo has trout, redfin and cod. the redfin shouldn't be too difficult to target this time of year from the bank with worms or walk into the water waist deep and cast lures.
i'm sure there must be carp in there also, the ovens around wangaratta will have plenty of carp.

Got some redfin at buffalo all be it small

Dropped a carp in the ovens near Gapsted as line wrapped near a tree.

Going to try near Wangaratta today for something solid that the kids can hear the reel scream
