What's firing? Daylesford area lakes and reservoirs

Looking to do a kayak session for trout this coming weekend - out of the waters up that way that allow kayak access, what is currently providing either the most chance or best size trout opportunities?
Right now looking at on of Hepburn lagoon and Moorabool; Upper Coliban; Lauriston; Malmsbury and Tullaroop reserviors - but open to suggestions not listed here.
All of these have had stocking initiatives but not across what's developed well and firing in 2020.

Tullaroop has gone very quiet of late, maybe their following the lock downs.

Really? Tullaroop was looking like the best option.
Is it one of those well performing lakes that quiet by its standards is normal for another slower lake?

Spoke to a mate the other day who fishes Tullaroop a couple of times a week. Reckons that his last couple of trips have provided donuts.
Maybe the fish gods are exacting revenge on him as he has had outstanding success there for quiet a a while.

Not sure if you can Kayak Moorabool but that's were I would go, i know they are getting some huge fish from there but on mudeyes under a float or scrubbies on the bottom. Kayak would be good to get to the other side

Pretty sure as it’s a central highlands water storage yakking not allowed. I think technically wading is not meant to be allowed either but not certain on that.

Yeah unfortunately moorabool has water entry restrictions for water usage reasons - but yeah some good fish I've seen reported to come out of there
